Welcome To The Issaquah Community Network!

Picture
Join our mission of creating a caring community promoting healthy children and families.

We envision a community working together to provide a supportive environment in which children and families thrive.

The Network aims to reduce the number of at-risk youth in Issaquah and to increase the protective factors that enhance healthy living.

We invite all sectors of the community to join us in identifying cultural norms and environmental conditions that influence personal health decisions. Bring your energy, passion, and ideas to meetings, events, and initiatives. Together, we are creating a caring community.

Flash News!

The Issaquah Community Network is encouraging community members to learn about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) research.  You can learn more by going to the Family Policy Council's website.  FPC offers a free introduction to ACEs and a three-hour web training that costs $29.  At this time, it appears that the class will be available through June 30th.  You may be able to get reimbursement for the training; contact Barbara de Michele if you are interested.

ACEs research, which documents the long-term impacts of trauma and stress on individual and community health, is being increasingly used in preventive community health programs.
